Hi everyone!
I can hardly believe that we are in the last day of 2013! This year has flown by (yes I realize everyone says that – but it’s so true)!!!!
While this year ended up being my toughest yet personally, I’m so thankful for so many things. Not only did I meet some of the most wonderful, helpful, and inspiring people, but I also got to watch a dream of mine come true. I was blessed with not one book being completed and released, but two. Through those books, I’ve gotten to know new friends and gained such an appreciation for the indie world. There are so many amazing writers, bloggers, and readers out there, and I can’t believe I am lucky enough to get to know so many of you.
In many ways I’m glad to say goodbye to 2013 and thrilled to start 2014. I’m especially excited to continue on this journey with all of you. Sacrificed will be coming out in the early months of 2014, I’ll be attending and participating in UtopYA 2014, and I will get to start a new book that I’ve had swirling around in my mind. There is a lot to look forward to!
With it being the time for resolutions…here are mine for 2014:
1. Worry Less – Typical one for people, yes. However, I worry way too much in everything. Taking some deep breaths and letting go a bit is going to be something I work on.
2. Write a little bit each day – I heard this from another writer and think it’s excellent. Even if it’s only a few sentences.
3. Eat Healthier – Typical again. However, now that I’m in my late twenties, I think my midnight snacking while writing should probably be with carrots instead of Cheetos, Wings, and Pizza.
4. Travel – Besides Nashville in June, my goal is to travel to at least one place I’ve never been before.
I’m sure I will continue to add more throughout the day as I reflect on this past year, but those are what I have for now. Feel free to leave yours in the comments!!
I think this is an appropriate quote to leave you with, both for writers and readers alike, to keep in mind for the new year. “Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365-page book. Write a good one.” – Brad Paisley
Have a safe end to 2013 and a very Happy New Year! Cheers!! <3
